Everton fans are getting cozy with their calculators this season, with all the point deductions and financial roller coasters. At Stamford Bridge, they needed those calculators to keep track as Cole Palmer tore through their defense and wrecked their goal difference. Palmer went wild with four goals, three before the half-hour mark and the fourth from the penalty spot, bringing his Premier League tally to 20 this season. With 11 goals in his last five home games, it's hard not to wonder where Everton would be without him.

Chelsea nabbed their fifth consecutive Monday night victory, but not without a touch of drama as players squabbled over a penalty. Palmer eventually took charge, much to the chagrin of his teammates. Amidst the chaos, Mauricio Pochettino enjoyed a splendid night, topped off with Alfie Gilchrist's first senior goal, much to the delight of the home crowd.

As for Everton, things went from bad to worse with injuries to Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson. With a relegation battle looming, Sean Dyche has his work cut out for him. Despite Everton's bright start, Chelsea took control early on, with Palmer showcasing his skills and leaving Pickford red-faced with a long-range goal.

Everton tried to rally, but Chelsea's dominance prevailed, leaving them four goals down by halftime. Despite Dyche's halftime changes, Everton couldn't shift the momentum, with Palmer continuing to torment their defense. The night ended with Palmer's heroics and a debut goal for Gilchrist, leaving Chelsea soaring while Everton's woes deepen.
