With the title secured, Bayer Leverkusen aims to cap off an undefeated season, while Borussia Dortmund intensifies its pursuit of Champions League qualification.

Currently positioned fifth in the Bundesliga after 29 matches, Borussia Dortmund boasts 16 victories, eight draws, and five losses, totaling 56 points, level with RB Leipzig for the coveted final Champions League berth.

Despite a somewhat subdued offensive performance, Dortmund has maintained defensive stability, conceding 34 goals and securing nine clean sheets in 29 games, with an average of 1.96 goals per game.

On the flip side, Bayer Leverkusen dominates the league standings, clinching the title with an impressive record of 25 wins and four draws in 29 matches, accumulating 79 points, a commanding 16-point lead over Bayern Munich.

Leverkusen's prowess extends to both ends of the pitch, boasting 69 goals scored and a remarkable defensive record of just 19 goals conceded, accompanied by 15 clean sheets.

In their head-to-head history spanning 50 encounters since 1999, Dortmund holds a slight edge with 22 victories compared to Leverkusen's 16, with 12 matches ending in draws. The recent five fixtures have seen Dortmund triumph thrice, Leverkusen once, and one draw, with three of these encounters witnessing both teams finding the net.

Edin Terzic faces injury setbacks with Ramy Bensebaini and Samuel Bamba sidelined, while Karim Adeyemi serves a suspension. Conversely, Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen squad contends with just one injury concern, with Adam Hlozek unavailable until early May.

Dortmund's recent form boasts four wins and two losses in their last six outings across all competitions. Notably, they secured a 3-1 victory against Eintracht Frankfurt, followed by a historic 2-0 win against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, albeit faltering to a 0-1 defeat against Stuttgart.

In continental competition, Dortmund faced Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals, succumbing to a 1-2 defeat in the first leg but rallying back with a resounding 4-2 triumph at home, setting up a semi-final clash with PSG.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen continues its winning streak with five consecutive victories, including a pivotal 5-0 triumph over Werder Bremen to seal their first Bundesliga title. Additionally, they are poised to tackle West Ham in the Europa League quarter-finals, holding a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.

Bayer Leverkusen is poised to clinch another victory, although this match is expected to be tightly contested, with both teams finding the back of the net.
